Team USA vs. Team Canada

UniFirst's hockey tournament tradition continues on April 26th and April 27th in Buffalo, NY.   Team USA and Team Canada will once again face-off on and off the ice.  

We've incorporated a fundraising component to enhance the friendly competition off the ice as well. Each team will fundraise for a selected charity.  For the winning fundraising team, UniFirst will donate an additional $5,000.  UniFirst will also donate $1,000 to the other team's charity.  

We've carefully selected our two charity partners, KidSport for Team Canada and Good Sports for Team USA. Both nonprofits work to provide all children with the opportunity to participate in sports and physical activities.

From the Good Sports website: The benefits of sports and physical activity in a child’s life are well documented. Good Sports exists to make sure cost doesn’t keep kids on the bench.

According to KidSport, the reality is that cost keeps 1 in 3 Canadian kids out of organized sports. KidSport provides grants to help cover those costs to ensure that no kid is ever left watching from the sidelines.
